Lower School Principal

 

Central Christian School is seeking a principal with a mature and active Christian faith eager to guide, nurture, and inspire children, teachers and families. We desire a principal with a keen interest in the advancement of curriculum, instruction and assessment, a heart for stewarding diversity, a collaborative attitude toward decision-making, excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a joyful disposition. To be effective, Central’s principal must be an effective manager and meet the highest standards of professionalism, collegiality, and personal conduct.

The ideal candidate will have:
• An advanced degree in educational leadership
• A minimum of five years teaching and administrative experience
• Experience in an independent school environment

Senior Kindergarten Lead Teacher

 

Central Christian School is seeking a Senior Kindergarten Lead Teacher with a mature and active Christian faith who is eager to guide, nurture, and inspire children and families. We desire a teacher with a keen interest in the advancement of our Senior Kindergarten curriculum, instruction and assessment, a heart for stewarding diversity, a collaborative attitude toward decision-making, excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a joyful disposition. To be effective, Central’s teachers must meet the highest standards of professionalism, collegiality, and personal conduct.

All candidates must hold:
- Three or more years of successful classroom experience in a JK-2nd grade environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Education
- Current early childhood teaching license

Ideal candidates would have:
- Five or more years of successful classroom experience in a JK-2nd grade environment
- Master’s degree in Education
- Current early childhood teaching license
- Specific training in: Flexible Grouping, administering the Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA) or equivalent assessment program, 6+1 Writing Traits and Writing Workshop, Singapore Math methodology, Cooperative Learning strategies, Exploratory Learning strategies, and technology integration
