Member of Council
Members of CESA are those schools that are fully accredited by an organization with either national standing as a member of a nationally recognized association or with state standing as a member of an association with state-wide recognition and have completed and passed the CESA School Certification Audit.
The Candidate Schools category is reserved for schools that have applied for membership after September 1, 2014. Candidate Schools are eligible after applying if they are fully accredited by an organization with either national standing as a member of a nationally recognized association or with state standing as a member of an association with state-wide recognition.
Interested schools should contact Brian Kennerly (email@example.com) or go to the applying for membership page for more information.
Provisional Schools are those who originally applied for CESA Membership under our old rules but have not yet completed the CESA Audit. No new schools may apply for a Provisional Membership designation as this status is only available to schools applying for membership under the old rules before September 1, 2014. Each Provisional School will have until October 31, 2017 to complete the audit process. Those Provisional Schools who complete the CESA Audit, receive a site visit, complete a Standard Achievement Plan and have approval from the Standards Review Committee before the deadline will become fully certified CESA Members of Council. Those not passing the audit will have the option of becoming a Candidate School. Provisional Schools continue to pay the annual school fee until passing the CESA Audit. Upon completing and passing the Audit, these schools will become Members of Council and pay annual membership dues. Provisional Schools, while not fully certified by CESA, have access to all CESA resources, programs, and events.
