Santiago Christian School is a richly diverse, private, English-language, international Christian school located in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Santiago Christian School, Santiago Dominican Republic, is pleased to announce an opening for Director of Institutional Advancement. As a senior member of an experienced and visionary management team, this person will be responsible for generating the revenue for a premier Christian School in the Caribbean. SCS is an independent, non-profit, interdenominational school with 660 students in grades PreK3 to 12 and 140 employees. It offers a diploma which satisfies both US and Dominican requirements, and is accredited by ACSI and Middle States. Students succeed on AP exams, the SAT, and the Pruebas Nacionales (Dominican national exams) and go on to attend excellent colleges across the globe. A school-wide, multi-layered student leadership and justice development program trains students to lead like Jesus: By serving. SCS students regularly serve their peers in four SCS partner schools serving poor communities nearby. The school has a history of no debt and has raised $2,000,000 over the past five years in a significant campus expansion project. A compelling strategic plan is in place. Successful candidates are native English speakers who have an understanding of or experience with ESL/ELL immersion strategies in the classroom. Basic understanding of Spanish is helpful, but not required. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with a US state license, as well as evidence of an evangelical Christian faith commitment. Two years of experience is preferred and previous international teaching experience is a plus. Basic salary for local living is provided. The initial commitment is your choice of two, three, or five years, with corresponding benefits.
